The Diva Darlings is a support group serving NWA for girls and young women from middle school ages through college.  If you are trying to cope with the impact that comes with having a loved one that has battled breast cancer, the Diva Darlings may be the group of friends you need.  If you know a young lady that could use this circle of support, please pass along the information.

Tournament Contests

  • Fastpitch awards
    • As with all softball tournaments, trophies/awards will be given in each age bracket (8U MP, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U & 18U).
    • First place teams receive Schutt helmets w/face guards for the entire team.
    • First place teams in each bracket will receive full paid entry into their choice of either 2010 USSSA World Series or VTD Nationals.

    • Second place teams in each bracket will receive half paid entry into their choice of either 2010 USSSA World Series or VTD Nationals. 

    • 1st through 4st place will receive individual awards.
    • Because our event is a VTD Wild Card Regional event, 1st-3rd place teams win berths to VTD Nationals.

  • Team Challenge Donation

    • We challenge each team to help us raise money for breast cancer research and assistance.  Since 2006, we have made collective donations totaling $62,500 to Komen for the Cure!  This was from Team Challenge Donations in addition to our tournament funds.  YOUR TEAM can help meet this year's goal of $25,000.00.  Our united efforts can change the world!
    • Awards will be given for raising the most Team Challenge Donations at the Saturday evening ceremony.  Each age bracket will have one winner (8U MP, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U & 18U) plus an the overall tournament fundraising team will also receive an award.  These winning teams will be listed on our website with their team pictures.  (Fundraising tips

  • Queen of the Heat Pitching Contest

    • As you'll see in the rules, this is for any girl that is playing on a Pitch for the Cure team.  A separate entry fee applies per individual.  All entry fees for this contest will be donated directly to Komen Ozark Affiliate.  This contest will begin on Friday night if you are with a team that will arrive on Friday.  For Saturday starting teams, you'll begin on Saturday.  Awards for each age divisions to be given at the award ceremony on Saturday evening....winner will also be shown on the Pitch website.  See Rules here

  • Team T-Shirt Design
    • Design a team tournament t-shirt and compete for best shirt of the tournament.  Bring your team shirt to the Chicks vendor booth by 10am Saturday morning.  It will be displayed with all the other team shirts where everyone can vote for the fave by placing gate tickets on their choice!  Team winners' photos will be placed on the Pitch for the Cure© website and the team receives an award.    Look for these shirts near the Chicks booth.  See Rules here.
  • Team Auction Basket Contest
    • Your team can enter a filled basket into our Silent Auction.  The team who brings the auction basket that brings in the highest bid payment will receive a team award.  See Rules here.
